The Nepalese media personality, Rabi Lamichhane, his wife Nikita Poudel and their team visited the Nepal Consulate Office of Victoria on Thursday 30 May 2019.

Hon. Consul General Mr Chandra Yonzon welcomed the team offering Khada, a Nepalese token of love and an Australian Boomerang, as a sentimental gift to remember their visit. The meeting took place in advance for the following nights’ fundraiser dinner for ‘Raskot Community Hospital’ in Kalikot, North-west Nepal.

Chandra Yonzon Meets with Team Nepal Cricketers

Hon. Consul General of Nepal to Victoria, Chandra Yonzon, attended an interaction session with Team Nepal on Thursday, 25 October 2018 and proudly met Nepalese cricket players representing Nepal (Nepalese Community) in this year’s Melbourne Renegades Champions League 2018.

At the interaction session, Consul General Yonzon congratulated all players and requested that community members rally behind and attend the match to support those representing Nepal and the community. Consul General Yonzon said that he is delighted to see that sports are gaining popularity in the community and that young stars are coming to the stage to showcase their skills with enthusiasm. Chandra Yonzon Hosts Daishan Celebrations at RGIT

Daishan, one of Nepal’s most auspicious and celebrated festivals, was celebrated at the Nepal consulate office on Monday, 22 October 2018. Facilitated by Nepal consulate office staff, Dashain 2075 BS (2018 AD) celebrations saw in attendance consulate office staff, as well as Nepalese students studying at Royal Gurkhas Institute of Technology (RGIT) Australia’s Melbourne Campus.

Hon. Consul General of Nepal to Victoria, Chandra Yonzon, said that Daishan celebrations at the consulate provided a wonderful opportunity for RGIT Australia’s international Nepalese students to celebrate the festival, many of whom are studying away from family and loved ones in Nepal.
