Hon. Consul General of Nepal to Victoria, Chandra Yonzon, along with the entire Nepal consulate office team, would like to congratulate Sagarmatha Cricket Club (SCC) for making history by becoming the first Nepalese club to win a premiership (NMCA Grade D Kemp Shield) in Victoria. This is a moment of pride not only for players, but for the Nepalese community as a whole.

Established in 2013 with 11 players, today SCC has 60 active members – a fantastic achievement. Together, we wish all the best and encourage the bringing together of Victoria’s Nepalese community and the wider community through sportsmanship.

SCC played against Ivanhoe Mavericks in the final of Kemp Shield which was a 2-dayer played on Saturday, 16 and Sunday, 17 March.
