Hon. Consul General for Nepal to Victoria Chandra Yonzon and his wife Mrs. Laxmi Yonzon attended the Australian Nepalese Multicultural Centre (ANMC) Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held on 25th of November at 231 – 251 Mt Alexander Road Ascot Vale.

Speaking at the AGM, Consul General thanked all the ANMC members for working hard and also encouraged all to be courageous and keep trying their best to achieve the goal. He also requested all to be united and work together and to disregard politics while working in the team as the community centre is our collective dream and we all want to see it comes true soon.

The ANMC was formed to establish a community centre for Nepalese nationals in Melbourne, Australia. The organisation hopes to secure land and raise enough funds to build a community centre soon so that the Nepalese community in Melbourne can organise community based events and facilitate greater cultural awareness.

Consul General and Mrs. Yonzon are patrons and advisors to the ANMC. For more information on the ANMC, look at their website here.
