Consulate of Nepal seeks relief support for earthquake victims of Nepal

27 April 2015 – Nepal suffered a major earthquake (7.8 on the richter scale) just before noon on Saturday 25 April. This has been followed by a series of aftershock earthquakes that continue to terrify the residents.
The epicenter of the main earthquake was approximately 50km outside Kathmandu with ripple effects to parts of Northern India, Bangladesh and Tibet. The last earthquake of such magnitude occurred in Nepal in 1934.
All the Nepalese residing outside Nepal along with the entire world communities are overwhelmed and shocked by this devastating news as media images flood in and reports of the dead climb to over 3000.
