Chandra Yonzon discusses Sister Cities in Bendigo

Hon. Consul General of Nepal to Victoria, Chandra Yonzon (चन्द्रयोन्जन), and consulate staff, met with City of Greater Bendigo Mayor Councillor Margaret O’Rourke and Councillor James Williams at Bendigo Municipal Offices on Wednesday, 8 August 2018.

The meeting was held to discuss a proposal to establish a Sister City relationship between the City of Greater Bendigo and a yet-to-be-named city in Nepal. Preliminary discussions were centred on Bendigo’s relationship with Nepal to-date, as well as expectations and possible opportunities in formalising the relationship.

Chandra Yonzon welcomes NTB officials

Hon. Consul General of Nepal to Victoria, Chandra Yonzon (चन्द्र योन्जन), welcomed Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) Senior Manager, Laxman Gautam, and NTB Senior Officer, Sudan Subedi, with traditional khada and Australian souvenirs at the Nepal consulate office on Monday, 2 July 2018.

Nepal-Australia Business Forum and Nepal Tourism and Promotion Night 2018

The inaugural Nepal-Australia Business Forum 2018 and the annual Nepal Business and Tourism Promotion Night 2018, organised by the Embassy of Nepal to Australia, in association with the Consulate General of Nepal to Victoria, were successfully held at Mantra Bell City, Melbourne on Saturday, 30 June 2018.

The all-day event from 9:00am to 11:00pm was divided into three sessions, with Session 1 being a media debriefing. Session 2 saw the Nepal-Australia Business Forum 2018 held from 12:00 noon, aimed at holding discussions to exploring bilateral trade and investment opportunities between Nepal and Australia. Session 3, held from 6:30pm, was the annual Nepal Business and Tourism Promotion Night 2018, a gala dinner aimed at promotion business and tourism to Nepal.

Chandra Yonzon participates in Walk for Welfare 2018

Hon. Consul General of Nepal to Victoria, Chandra Yonzon, along with his wife, Laxmi Yonzon, were honoured to participate in Walk for Welfare 2018, an initiative led by Non-Resident Nepalese Association (NRNA), National Coordination Committee (NCC), to work towards promoting well-being in the community and raising funds for NRNA Social Welfare Fund.
